THINK BIGGER DO GOOD
Think Bigger Do Good
Think Bigger Do Good is a national policy initiative developed in collaboration with the Scattergood Foundation, Patrick P. Lee Foundation, and the Peter & Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation, and Sozosei Foundation.
Together, the partners commission solutions-oriented policy papers focused on improving mental health and addiction care systems. Topics are prioritized through an advisory council of nationally recognized experts who guide author selection and inform advocacy strategy.
Through its participation, Peg’s helps ensure Ohio’s perspective contributes to national conversations shaping the future of mental health policy.

LeBron James Family Foundation
Peg’s partners with the LeBron James Family Foundation to support student and family well-being in Akron.
Through this collaboration, Peg’s helps strengthen access to mental health resources and coordinated supports that remove barriers to learning. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to meeting families where they are and ensuring students have the stability and care needed to succeed in school and beyond.
This work has continued to evolve in alignment with community needs and trusted service providers, including Coleman Health Services.

Stepping Up Initiative: The Ohio Project
The Stepping Up Initiative: The Ohio Project works with county leaders across Ohio to address the overrepresentation of individuals with mental health and substance use disorders in local jails.
Peg’s supported a statewide effort to engage elected officials, encourage formal resolutions, and activate cross-sector collaboration. Counties bring together mental health providers, law enforcement, judges, probation officers, and community stakeholders to strengthen local responses and reduce cycles of incarceration.
In parallel, state-level leaders examine policy barriers and promote coordinated strategies that improve access to treatment, reduce jail stays, and support long-term stability.

CEO Alliance for Mental Health
The CEO Alliance for Mental Health brings together sixteen leading national organizations committed to improving outcomes for people living with mental health and substance use disorders.
Formed in 2020 in response to the escalating mental health crisis, the Alliance developed A Unified Vision for Transforming Mental Health and Substance Use Care. Peg’s partnered with fellow sector leaders to help shape this shared framework, advancing coordinated action across policy, systems integration, prevention, recovery, and whole-person care.
The Alliance reflects a collective commitment to strengthen access, reduce disparities, and promote the conditions necessary for long-term well-being nationwide.
Clear Pathways Initiative
The Clear Pathways Initiative is a systems-change effort designed to strengthen behavioral health crisis response across Ohio.
An initiative of Peg’s, Clear Pathways works with state and local partners to build coordinated, sustainable crisis systems that ensure adults experiencing behavioral health emergencies have a clear path to person-centered care. The work focuses on reducing reliance on jails and emergency departments as default responses by aligning policy, financing, implementation, and measurement.
Through cross-sector collaboration and strategic navigation, Clear Pathways advances scalable models that improve access, accountability, and long-term stability.

Mindful Philanthropy
Mindful Philanthropy is a national network guiding the philanthropic sector toward bolder, more coordinated investment in mental health. Through convenings, research, and peer learning, the organization works to scale philanthropic funding for mental health — with a goal of reaching $35 billion in annual giving by 2035.
As a founding supporter of Mindful Philanthropy, Peg’s helped build the connective tissue for this growing field, contributing Ohio’s voice and experience to a national community of funders committed to lasting change.

NAMI Ohio
NAMI Ohio, the state affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is one of Ohio’s most trusted voices for individuals and families navigating mental health challenges.
This partnership is deeply personal to Peg’s. Years ago, Terry Russell, then Executive Director of NAMI Ohio, helped the Morgan family find the support their son Dave needed — a turning point that changed the course of his life. That experience helped shape Peg’s enduring belief in the power of connection, advocacy, and accessible care. Supporting NAMI Ohio is both a privilege and a reflection of our roots.

Hudson Community Foundation
The Hudson Community Foundation strengthens the hometown community where Peg Morgan lived and raised our Founder’s family. Through this partnership, Peg’s invests in local organizations that provide essential services, foster belonging, and improve quality of life for Hudson residents. It is a natural expression of Peg’s belief that strong communities begin close to home.
GAR Foundation
The GAR Foundation is a leading Akron-based foundation with a long history of investing in the arts, education, and community vitality in Northeast Ohio.
Peg’s partnership with GAR is a natural and intentional one. By collaborating on arts grantmaking, Peg’s is able to honor its founder’s genuine enjoyment of the arts and ensure that creative organizations in our region continue to receive meaningful support — while keeping Peg’s primary focus squarely on its mission of improving the lives of people with serious mental illness and driving systems change. Together, the two foundations support the cultural organizations and artists that make Northeast Ohio a more vibrant and connected place.
Legacy Endowments
Peg’s has established endowed positions and scholarships that reflect Peg Morgan’s love of learning and investing in people and institutions that advance knowledge. In 2005, Peg’s created the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation Chair in Psychiatry at Northeast Ohio Medical University to strengthen psychiatric education and advance high-quality mental health training for future physicians. At The University of Akron, Peg’s endowed the executive director position at the Cummings Center for the History of Psychology — preserving more than a century of discovery for the scholars who learn from it. Through an endowed chair and scholarships at Kent State University’s Fashion School, Peg’s honors our Founder’s deep personal connection to design education, visionary leadership, and the students who carry that passion forward.
