Dalí Beyond Time: Fashioning the Future

June 12, 2025 @ 8:00 am September 27, 2025 @ 5:00 pm

This summer, Peg’s Foundation & Gallery in Hudson, OH will become the epicenter of international art, fashion, and innovation with the U.S. premiere of Dalí Beyond Time: Fashioning the Future.

Opening June 12, this groundbreaking exhibit brings to American soil for the first time 12 Salvador Dalí paintings—commissioned in 1971 by the world-renowned London tailor and luxury fabric producer Scabal to envision what men’s fashion might look like in the year 2000. These surreal, vibrant works remain as relevant today as they were visionary decades ago.

Presented in collaboration with Scabal and Kent State University’s School of Fashion, the exhibit also features Dalí’s gold jewelry designs and original fashion looks by Kent State students, who responded to the same creative prompt Dalí was given over 50 years ago.

“This collaboration with Scabal and Kent State University represents the kind of innovative partnership and moment that our founder Peg championed,” said Rick Kellar, president and CEO of Peg’s Foundation. “Peg challenged us to ‘Think Bigger’—and this is that vision in action.”

The exhibit runs June 12–September 27 and will include public events, artist talks, and student showcases focused on art, fashion, and mental health.

Weave-n-Wonder Workshop

Please register in advance, as space is limited. Join us for a hands-on weaving workshop that blends creativity, curiosity, and playful learning for all ages. Weave-n-Wonder invites children ages 6 and up (with adult support as needed) and curious learners of all ages into a relaxed, hands-on weaving experience. Participants will create simple woven bracelets and bookmarks while exploring how patterns, structure, and design come together through making. Designed to be low-pressure and accessible, the workshop encourages curiosity, patience, and creative exploration. As participants weave, they naturally engage with foundational ideas in fine motor development, pattern recognition, and early math thinking—experiencing how art and science reinforce one another in tangible, approachable ways. The workshop is led by Gargi Bhaduri, whose early life was shaped by both artistic encouragement and a strong grounding in math and science—two perspectives she came to understand as deeply connected. With a PhD in Human Environmental Sciences and over 20 years of experience in fashion research and education, she founded Weave-n-Wonder under her parent organization, Fabric of Learning. The program emerged from her observation that abstract math concepts often become more accessible when translated into hands-on, tactile experiences like weaving. Weave-n-Wonder reflects a simple but intentional idea: learning deepens when it is active, creative, and rooted in real-world making. This event is free and open to the public. Free parking is available on city streets and lots throughout the walkable downtown neighborhood of Hudson, Ohio.
